Earning your Pain CME by December 31

Are you fulfilling the California requirement to earn 12 credits of CME in pain management and end-of-life care by December 31? The CSA offers two easy ways to complete the learning modules before the deadline.

Modules 1-11 appear in CSA Bulletin issues published in 2004, 2005 and 2006. Module 12 is available on the CSA Web Site since that issue will not be mailed until January.

If you do not have the back issues, go to the CSA Web Site and click on the Continuing Medical Education button on left-side navigation on the home page. From the drop-down menu choose "Bulletin Online CME" where you can print the registration and test questions for all 12 modules that are currently available, or take the modules one at a time. You do not need your member login information.

In order to apply for CME credit, you must print and complete each module's quiz and either fax to the CSA at 650-345-3269 or mail to 951 Mariner's Island Blvd., Suite 270, San Mateo, CA 94404. All submissions (fax and mail) postmarked by December 31, 2006, will show on the CME certificate(s) that you completed the module(s) by December 31.

CSA Holiday Schedule

Please note: The CSA office will be closed from December 25-January 1.

CSA Committee Nominations

Anyone wishing to serve on a committee can review CSA's current committees by clicking on the About CSA icon on the CSA Home Page. Contact Dr. Airola at for consideration.
